Seignosse · Landes
Seignosse (40510), on the Landes coast in south-west France, is one of the finest spots on the Atlantic seaboard. Endless stretches of golden sand, a pine forest heavy with the scent of resin, quiet lakes for slower afternoons and a lively village where it's good to stop and stay a while.
Overview
Between Hossegor (2 km south) and Vieux-Boucau (10 km north), Seignosse is a world-famous surf destination — home to the Quiksilver Pro France competition and well-respected surf schools — while still holding on to its down-to-earth Landes village feel.
The town stretches between the more authentic, residential village centre and the coast with its lifeguarded summer beaches. In between: the Landes de Gascogne forest, its maritime pines and its network of cycle paths.
